Online only ‘Timed’ Sale
Friday, 10 - Sunday, 19 September 2021

Welcome to this, the first purely ‘online’ timed auction from Heritage Art Auctions. We have tried to give as much information as possible on each artwork. Often, buyers would like to know a little about the background of artists, whose works they are interested in. Where possible we have provided a biographical link with background info. The references come from five sources: Henry Newrick’s New Zealand Art Auction Records (NZAAR) Una Platt’s Nineteenth Century New Zealand Artists (PLATTS) Kate McGahey’s Concise Dictionary of New Zealand Artists (CONCISE) Find NZ Artists: https://findnzartists.org.nz/ (This site will tell you where and when artists exhibited. Google If the Biographical reference says (for example) ‘NZAAR at 116’ it means that you will find a short biography on the artist at Page 116 of New Zealand Art Auction Records. If you don’t already have a copy of this 184 page book you are entitled to a FREE PDF copy when you join our mailing list. Una Platt’s book is already available online in PDF format. You’ll have to purchase the Concise Dictionary to use that reference. Google is self-explanatory. If we could find no reference then we simply say - ‘no reference’. I hope you enjoy this catalogue. There is no public viewing of art in this sale. Our ‘live’ sale for more valuable works is on Saturday, October 9th and public viewing will be available on Friday October 8 and on the morning of the sale. The catalogue will be published online 7-10 days before the sale. Enjoy. Henry Newrick Director NOTE: This sale ends progressively on the evening of Sunday 19th October, closing in batches of 5, every 2 minutes from 6pm. Bidding will auto extend if a bid is placed with the last 2 minutes - up to a maximum of 15 times. When bidding ‘live’ you can place bids in real time but if unable to be present you can place a maximum bid and the auction will accept your bids progressively against other bids until your maximum is reached. The auction will not bid past your maximum. As with all auctions there is a Buyer’s Premium. Ours is at the lower end of the scale being just 15% + GST. Invoices will be sent following the sale and we ask that collection (or shipping arrangements) be made within 7 days of the sale ending. For more information on shipping see our Terms & Conditions at: https://heritageartnz.com/services/ Payment and collection of your works can be made from the afternoon of Monday 20th October.
